Hi Chrissy,

If you can get here....you're welcome for lunch!!

I asked the girl at the fish counter to remove head, tail and

fins....don't want them, thank you very much!! The salmon is

ish.

Boxing Day? 26th Dec. I think it was traditionally the day for

giving " Christmas boxes " ie, gifts, especially gifts of money given

to servants by their employers. I must check the origin of the term

but I think that's it. Nothing to do with boxing or wrestling but I

liked your suggestion of boxing going on at the sales!! This year

lots more stores started their " January " sales on Boxing Day. They

used mostly to wait till 27th Dec! Some people were up at 3.00 am to

get the bargain they had had their eye on since before Christmas.

Boxing Day is also a great day for sporting events. For most

families it's simply the second day of the holiday and they will

visit, or be visited by, family or friends that they didn't see on

Christmas Day. I've always loved Boxing Day.....it's still got the

Christmas feeling but tends to be more relaxing. The holiday lasts

all week for many folk. I expect it's the same in the US?

I'm not very good on the mileage, without looking it up, but

Yorkshire is only a couple of hours drive from Liverpool, or less,

depending on traffic etc.

Feel better, Chrissy, and thanks for encouragement about THE

DECISION!!!!

Best wishes,

Fliss
