Guest guest
Doctors can not refill prescriptions for narcotics over the phone. By law they have to evaluate you in the clinic to make sure your not becoming a drug addict, they also cant drop you like a hot potato as said earlier, it is unethical. Call the clinic, make a stat appt due to excessive pain, get evualated, get your script in HAND, then tell the jerk your going to Duke and he can kiss your insurance good bye! Good Luck and let me know how it goes, I'm having a rough couple of days, doing to much I'm sure. Today is my eldest child 18 birthday. WOW; tomorrow a bunch of my girlfriends are coming up, I have stalled long enough I just dont have the strenght to get the house " company clean " . Call that doc first thing in the am and get your butt down there, make sure he writes for more then 30 days, fib about how much you need so that there is enough to cover you until you see Pappas. Dont feel bad fibbing to him, its not worth it, also on your way our tell the secretary you want your file, yup the whole thing! May take a few minutes to get, but it is YOUR file you own it and it will be worth your while. If they offer you a copy, tell them they may keep the copy. If you get any grief, pick up your cell phone, and say somthing along the lines of welll thats not what my attorney said, let me call him and check on that! You will have you chart toot sweet. Good Luck > Hey all. I think my GI doctor, the one who got me this far with the > malabsorption diagnosis and possible CP, has deserted me. He won't > return my phone calls. Yesterday, my husband called to see if he > would refill my percocet, which I was almost out of, and no one > returned his call. I don't understand what happened. He was supposed > to make an appointment at Duke Medical for me, and didn't. I ended up > doing that myself. Has anyone else ever had this experience? I think > it is odd.
