Hi! I saw your post regarding the pain your wife has been having. I

don't know who's answered so far so I might say something you've

already been told. Anyway, there can absolutely be pancreas pain

even when blood tests don't show enzyme levels above normal. Mine

can be at the high end of normal & I'll still have horrible pain.

When the pancreas starts to become damaged, it can't produce the

enzymes in the amount that it did before it got sick. As a result,

enzyme levels in the blood don't go as high. I've had this stupid

disease for 10 years & I can't tell you how many times I've been

accused of drug seeking b/c my blood levels aren't really high. It

took a specialist in Atlanta to confirm that I do have CP.

So don't take what health care professionals say as 100% correct.

They aren't necessarily right all the time. In fact, about 4 years

ago, they wanted to put a tube in my stomach but I refused. I'm

soooo glad I didn't do it. Keep asking tons of questions & be sure

to visit the Top5Plus5 link. Educating yourself & staying in contact

with people who have CP are probably 2 of the best things you can do

for your wife ( & for yourself.)

Hugs,
