Hi all; o.k. I had MGB 9/13/99, and was, among other things a brittle

diabetic - 7 shots a day plus oral meds. My last diabetic meds were the

night before surgery. My Aic's were hovering between 10-12. Now they are

around 6. I am able to drink all juices, but my new tummy does not like

anything with artificial sweetner in it. I even eat a few jelliebellies. I

have not experienced " dumping " , but find that things with fat in them don't

sit well. In fact, a few days ago I actually threw up some wonderful pasta

dishn (usually sits well). I don't know how much I've lost, but am able to

shop at the Gap, Talbotts, Ann , Banana Repubic, etc.-- and I wear a

small size. I'm only 5'2 or 3, so am able to fit in Petite stuff. My feet

are actually smaller. Even my eyes have changed--I mean my contact lens

presc. has changed, because the fat around my eyes is no longer there--and

guess what I HAVE A NECK! That is just dandy, because I can now wear

necklaces I haven't been able to wear in years! Except for the vein thing, I

think I am doing remarkably well. My hair has stopped falling out, and I am

getting so creative about color now. I still obsess about the quality of my

skin, and " later up " two or three times a day, because I live in Florida, and

don't want to end up like the " lizard ladies " of Sarasota--and I grew up

here, so I know about skin cancers. However, I still like the way my new

body looks in a bathing suit, so my body (not face) is tan. I'm rambling.

Hi all

I am Roxanne Brown and have a question.......How long has your hair been

falling out?

Is you hair thick? Just curious. Are you taking the vitamins? Is you hair

thin now?
