Steve had told me pre-op to walk, walk, walk once I was post op and I'll love him forever for that advice! I did notice that I used my pain pump(Demerol 13 times-hit it before or after the walk whether I needed it or not) and that I found the most relief from the percocet, which I tried the next morning(granted I didn't sleep a wink!) I started to sleep ,but at 5 am they said on the overhead speakers " DR. Rutledge is on the phone for his patients vitals/and update " Well I flew out of bed to give it to him...still trying to get my info to him,I guess! Plus I'm a nurse and may have thought I was working ! Anyway,I'm rambling! Here's my point! WALK and bring cotton balls for your ears! I was able to go to Jazzercise at 4 days post-op,too so the pain was NOT bad at all! Osler MGB 2/21/00 272/
