Thanks for your introduction, and welcome to our group. You got here the

hard way, I see, by having to go through the hospital ritual first. At least

you

were at Indy, which I believe is an excellent facility based on what our

members here say. You'll soon find out that we have a fair number of people

that use that hospital.

It sounds like your doctor was on target about your problems.....or should I

say his nurse was? You'll have to make sure to treat that nurse extra special,

because it sounds like she was looking out for you and it's always a plus to

have a nurse in your doctor's office that's on your side. It was good to hear

that your doctor was quick to determine what the cause of your problems

was, because a lot of our membership has had to see many doctors and go

through months-years of problems before they got the help they needed.

If you read back through the posts from the last few days you'll see that

several people have been discussing stents, so you can get the skinny first

hand by reading what they've had to say. Also, if you type in " Whipple " in the

archives search box, you'll see that several people were discussing that

procedure not to long ago, too!

I'm glad you found us, and hope that we can be of help to you. I know that at

the beginning it seems that there's just so much to learn and it's all Greek at

the start, but this is a great place to learn what you need to know about this

disease and you'll meet some great friends along the way.
