Guest guest
My office manager is being a real b$% & h. She said that my job is full time position and if I couldn't work 40 hrs a week then I would have to stay off work for 2 more weeks. Dear Patty, I can so sympathize. In Atlanta I had a DON that was absolutely horrible. Ithink she was on some kind of power trip. I had been in the hospital for 3 weeks, & got a letter telling me that I was close to losing my job. So I went back the next day after getting home from the hospital. The following day, I called b/c I absolutely couldn't stop heaving & the pain was unbearable. I left a message for ther that I was going back to the hospital, but didn't hear from her. I went back to work the following Monday & she approached me & said (in front of everyone that was standing there) that I was not strong enough for this proffesion, & if I wanted to keep my job, I had to take a paid months leave of abscense & MAYBE after that my job MIGHT still be here. I didn't say anything b/c my jaw was hanging open (so was everyone else's.) That afternoon, I said bye to the co- workers there & apologized for not giving a two weeks notice, but they were all very understanding & said if in the same situation, they wouldn't either. ( I had been working there a year with no abscenses & always went in for double shifts when someone else called in sick.) The DON wasn't in her office by the end of my shift, so I just left a short note stating that she knows where she can put this job & I'm ashamed to be able to say that I ever even knew her. Never looked back, but found out about a year later that not many people liked her & a lot quit. So she got fired. I guess what goes around comes around, Huh?
