Guest guest
Hi Dr. R, As a new post-op, I have some comments on the " Your Diet " section. These comments may be insignificant, but I found these areas to be a bit confusing. 1. In Stage I, which lasts from 10-14 days, we are to have liquids only. But, the instructions also say to have " chicken noodle soup " . I read it to mean to drink only the broth since we are on liquids only. Question: Are we supposed to eat the noodles and chicken that is in the soup? My guess is NO! 2. Stage I (only liquids) ends at 10-14 days but Stage II is 10-24 days, where we can add soft foods. Question: Since the stages overlap, when can soft foods be added: Day 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14? My guess was at Day 14. I'm at Day 19 and feeling GREAT! No problems whatsoever. I've lost 15 pounds so far - could never have dreamed of losing that amount of weight in the past. Thanks again for your amazing surgery!
