Guest guest
Wow - it usually takes us 2 1/4 to 3 hours to get to clinic (depending on traffic) and 3 hours or more to do check-in, spirometry, measure height/weight, give sputum sample, review meds with nurse, consult with Dr. (sometimes do a preconsult with a resident since it is a teaching hospital), pick up meds from pharmacy and all the wait times in between each thing. We count on longer if we are doing exercise test, blood work and urine sample, x-ray, picking up from the Specialty Food shop, consulting with physiotherapist or dietician or a researcher (we have particpated in several research studies). It is usually long enough that we fit lunch in at the hospital cafeteria so add another half hour for that. Add another 2 1/4 to 3 hours to get home and it is definately an all day affair.
