Guest guest
Hi Everyone: I had a terrible weekend because my new pain doctor took me off the oxycontin and replaced it with the patch. He said the 75 mg. patch should equal the amount of oxycontin I was on. I don't know how I even made it to the appointment last night I was in so much pain. I didn't leave my bed all weekend, except to re-heat my microwaveable bag, which is a live-saver. I had left a message at the doctor's office, late Friday afternoon, letting him know that I didn't get near the pain relief from the patch. But never heard back until Monday morning. This appointment I brought my husband with me. When he asked the doctor why he didn't call me back on Friday he said he had misplaced the message, and he was sorry. In fact he said the girl in before me, he'd lost hers too! Then he said why didn't you call me at home, my number is in the phone book. Of course, he didn't mention this during my first appointment. I surely didn't think a doctor would want me to bother him at home. If I had known this I wouldn't have had to suffer all weekend. And you know how bad it is when you are in pain, an hour feels like a day! Anyway, he put me back on the oxycontin, and I ended up telling him (or more accurately my husband told him) what would work. He had no problem writing the prescription right there and then. I really need to learn to speak up more! And I'll definitely call him at home next time! Louie, you had asked if I live near Ocean City, which I do. About 10 miles inland a little town called Berlin. If anyone saw the Runaway Bride with , they filmed that movie downtown Berlin. Another one they filmed in Berlin was Tuck Everlasting. Both of these movies put Berlin on the map. I know all the places you were talking about. I moved here from the Philadelphia area about 15 years ago. I love the beach and everything about it! In fact we just bought some land and are going to build a house in another year or so, depending on my health. I want to be able to participate in the whole thing, so we're waiting for some stable time. Though that's pretty scarce! Hope everyone is having a good day, with my medication back in my system, I'm back to as normal as I get! HUGS!
