Guest guest
Dear Holly, My family is 4+ months out. WE too have celiac (in four of us). Some of the strange behaviors we had also came back during our 2-3 month regression, warned about in BTVC. I would say with regressions anything is possible. With our autistic daughter many strange behaviors just came back (we had made huge gains too, first few months SCD). Her regression came not only with the expected set back that BTCD warns about...but was complicated with Rotavirus. Our son and daughter always " Die Off " with returned aggression....her repeating behaviors/stimming, and " night terrors " /deleriums have also revisited. So, we too, are now trying to not freak out to much. Already we are seeing progress, now that we have her diarrhea crises under control again. This is going to be a " fun " year for all of us. Healing SCD is such a journey, and takes time. So many strange things happen to the brain when the gut is damaged...look at my family as just ONE example. Hope this helps a little, Antoinette and (celiac/add/asd), parents to -5 (celiac/adhd), Kiki-2(celiac/asd), Bubbles-1 Hyperekplexia. Guest guest
Thanks so much, Antoinette... Your reply gives me hope! I guess I won't give up on this diet after all! GF only was so much easier. :-) Blessings, Holly Whittemore
