Guest guest
Hi All, I've had some really good news. Last week I received a note from my SSD lawyer and an administrative law judge was assigned to my case (wait, there's more!). Yesterday, I opened my mail from Saturday and I got a notice of decision from Socia Security. They have decided fully favoriable to me! In other words, they decided I was disabled due to a combo of my health problems(which not alone would not have given me disability) and my pain/medications effect on my concentration/attaention (according to both the physical and mental physicians they had me go see). Which is interesting because I thought I had done too well at the psychologist's appointment. Evidently I was wrong, because his statement said I had attention and concentration problems. So I don't even have to go to court, the judge made this decision based upon my medical records and other forms, etc. I hadn't even sent them my letter from my GI physician stating that I am fully disabled due to my pain etc. And the judge had evidently reviewed my case really soon after having it assigned to him, so I didn't have to wait the four or five months I was told it would take to get a court date. The judge must have took one look at my records and said, " why isn't this person on disability? " . I can't believe it. I am so thrilled. They still need to process the decision and then send me a letter of my benefits, but they have made the actual decision. The letter did say that the SSA office may need more information from me (though what they'd need now I don't know) too. So, I am very happy right now. Later today I am going to call my lawyer just to confirm what goes on from here and also call MetLife, my Long Term Disability insurance and see if this will help them in making their decision too. Hopefully it will. Anyways, I wanted to tell you all the good news. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
