,

I'm not Debs, but I'm taking 30 mgs. of fast release morphine IR for

breakthrough pain now, along with the 75 mgs. duragesic. I just started it last

week, initially was only on 15 mgs., but that wasn't working so the pain

management doctor told me to double the amount I took.

The morphine IR seems to be working okay, as I've had a couple rough days

and it has keep me functioning. Today was an exception, I woke up in pain,

and nothing seemed to be enough, so I laid low all day. By dinnertime I felt

better again, but one dose of the 30 mgs. morphine covered my pain.

With hope and prayers,

Heidi

Even when I was on the morphine pills, they didn't seem to help unless I took

more than what was prescribed.

Debs, what is the fast release morphine you were talking about? I

think the morphine didn't help much for breakthrough pain because it was

time released.
