Dear Group,

I am back from Indianapolis and feeling better day by day. The

duct was clogged again and it is now open with a #5 stent. The MD

wants the stent to stay in for 8 weeks then replace with another

stent to stretch the duct further.Average clog time is 6 weeks but

we are hoping it lasts 8. My last stent, a year ago, lasted 6-1/2

weeks before it clogged. When it clogs, I double over and have to

get it pulled then. Hopefully will stay open the 8 weeks for maximum

stretch. He tried to get two stents in but after the first one was

placed the flow out of the pancreas prevented the second stent from

being placed. Was very sick for 24 hours but was able to stay in the

hotel. Was able to come home on Saturday. I hate the hospitals. I

am still working on my story and this will explain alot. Still a

ways to go but at least I am on the upside again. Was back at work

on Monday, but lots of juice, eggs and tuna.

Thank you all for your caring. I will do what ever it takes to get

better.

I do have a question. Why can they successfully use stents for

cardiac and they don't clog up? Maybe the pancreas stents need to

be redone somehow. It seems like the consistancy of blood is pretty

close to bile??? Maybe use a cardiac stent in the pancreas. It is a

shame they just can't leave them in and that they clog. I will

continue my research and I Will find the answer..My appointment is

on the 10th with my cardioligist so will ask about those stents. If

it sound goods, maybe I'll be the guinea pig..... Will let you know.

Love

W
