Guest guest
I don't know if anyone else feels this way - I have been to a clinic, got all the information gathered and submitted, sent it overnight - Now I am waiting for approval from Dr. R. for surgery. I called Barbara today and she said Dr. R took home 30 packets to review, and that it would be a week or so before I heard anything and that she would call me. Does anyone else feel like they have had to jump through a thousand hoops to get this done????? I'm already approved by my insurance and have been since July 21. You would think I could at least get a tentative surgery date so I could let my employer know something! She said he may be able to get to it by the end of the month! They are short staffed, aren't we all. My pre-certification letter was held up because Dr. R's office did not provide them with a tax id number, so I called to get that resolved. I don't know what else I can do, but I'm frustrated by the lack of consistency of policy. Some people have got surgery dates immediately, some get dates without insurance approval etc. HELP ME UNDERSTAND!
