Any idea how we could do Intro Diet without carrots?

Benn there. Done that. I absolutely HATED carrots when I started SCD. I

tried forcing myself to eat them, and they came through completely

undigested.

To be honest, the chicken soup, while a great starting place, isn't

essential to the intro diet, in my opinion. If your daughter likes grilled

chicken, serve that. Steamed zucchini with butter is good.

The objective of the carrots is a tolerated carbohydrate source for the

early days of the diet. If she can't handle carrots, substitute another

legal vegetable with decent carbs which she likes and tolerates.

(BTW, I do now tolerate carrots, and they even taste OK to me, but I have a

real hard time eating them after 50+ years of avoidance!)
