warning regarding insurance

To those of you considering new insurance companies or thinking of changing

jobs to get insurance to cover WLS: PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK REGARDING

PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS CLAUSE.

I just found out by accident that my insurance company considers my morbid

obesity to be pre-existing and I had a 1 year waiting period for coverage

for pre-existing conditions. I am not a very savvy insurance person and I

just about fell out of my chair because I almost scheduled my MGB for August

and my waiting period actually is over on Sep 7th.

My surgery date is 22Sep so I will be OK, but you really might want to make

sure about this clause or maybe some really good lawyer could help you with

the wording because it can be tricky.
