The format of DVD's also varies between North America and Europe, just as video tapes do. It's a little easier to get access to DVD burning software that will handle either NTSC or PAL ... but you can only get around 90 minutes on a single DVD (with most standard software using standard blank DVDs), so it will take a LOT of DVDs to handle all 8 hours of the symposium video.
