Hey All,

Well I went to my to my GI doc yesterday..he's one of the few docs I kept at

the hospital I used to be at. He's pretty cool.

I have been having trouble getting backed up since I had that bad obstruction

last year. Also, I get really queasy and whatnot after meals....and my reflux

is driving me nuts.

Well, he said he thinks I have delayed gastric empying which is causing both

the reflux and the pain and nausea and occasional vomiting after I eat. Said

its really common in Diabetics? So I have to have some gosh awful study ( I

have to eat a UNC Egg Sandwich )to see how long it takes for my stomach to empty

and also an endoscope. I can't even stand the smell of the food so hopefully I

can swollow it...he said it was either eggs or Chicken

Livers...Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

He says there is a new med out there that should help....starts with a Z with

both the reflux and the delayed emptying.MAkes things go the correct

direction...lol

But said under no circumstances will they do surgery....even if I have gall

stones. Stupid Lungs. Didn't help matters that I was running a fever of 100.5

there in the office...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I would like to reinerate on the fact that this disease is a pain in the

tushy and not at all convientant.

I can't go in right now b/c we are leaving on vacation the 3rd and can't do

home IV's b/c there is now a co-pay.....So I guess the Middle of August I can

finally go in.
