Guest guest
Chewing better would help.. chicken, or meat of any kind is extremely fiberous... if we dont chew well starting with little bites, then our new tummies have to work harder to break the meat down for digestion. In this process, you might experience the feeling of gas (from churning), heartburn (extra acid to help break down fibers), nausea, sense of being over full, etc. I think this is one thing that people tend to forget when they are feeling good, eating good and losing weight.. chew, chew, chew. > I have a question for all you brilliant people out there. > Since my DS I cannot eat chicken. It reacts like a lactose intolerance. Gas, bloating, diarrhea etc. Is there anything I can take that would counteract the intolerance? I know about Lactaid for lactose and Beano for beans but what about Chicken? > Thank you for your response. > Angels hover ever near, > > DS 4/11/01 > Bowel obstruction 4/21/01 > Dr Deveney @ OHSU > Starting wt 282, BMI 47 > Current wt 222, BMI 37 > > >

Guest guest
AJ, I eat a luna bar for breakfast to start......usually tides me over for 2-3 hours and at least its 10 grams of protein. Then I make up for that at lunch time and dinner time so I get all the protein I need Judie
Guest guest
Suzy, I don't think that is the problem. I have even ground it for chicken salad sandwich, It was just about the only meat pre-op. I eat steak all the time now with no problem. Guest guest
Hi, I think the ingrediant in meat tenderizer that helps with the digestion of the meat is papaya enzyme. You can get chewable papaya enzymes in tablet form and they taste a whole lot better than meat tenderizer. Sheila L. --- wrote: > Thanks you Nan. that's a new one too. Guest guest
Thank you Sheila, I haven't tried the tenderizer yet or had chicken again for that matter. I will go get some papaya enzymes. They do sound easier to swallow. Besides I all ready am a tender person. LOL Re: Re: A question Hi, I think the ingrediant in meat tenderizer that helps with the digestion of the meat is papaya enzyme.
