Guest guest
Heidi, just read your nonsense on the refills subject...it is ridiculous!! When one of my contolled substances runs out ( I get my meds thru my Internist, the G.I. from Musc could never be reached) I have to go in and pick it up from the doc's office & then take it to the pharmacy, but luckily the doctors office is right around the corner, I could actually walk.....but still it's hard to time as you have to leave a msg. on their drug refill line and then they are only open Monday thru Friday (except for the holidays) so you are forever counting the pills & checking the calendar! This is a MUSC policy & at least she calls in enough for 2-3 months or until next appointment & then when the new script is written I must physically pick it up! But mail is really stupid.....it may get lost & no one would know & the patient is left without? Bad system definitely! Why don't you try to get your meds from a general M.D. or internist? That has really helped me. Still .....I'm dreading going away for this very reason.....do I plan the trip around the refills? or then call long- distance & hope they don't screw it up? It's a dilemma for sure! Hope this helps......love & best wishes to all, in ton, S.C.
