Generally swabs are done of the nasal and anal membranes ... fast and simple procedures, and they usually give a person instructions and let them do the anal swab themselves. In CF, sputum is the more common place that MRSA is cultured from. It can be grown in the sputum without being found on the skin or in other membranes. M Joe wrote: >...
