Guest guest
My 2 year old son caught pink eye 2 weeks ago. After being treated for it for a week and a half he was no better so they finally told us he had pseudomonas in his eye. This of course freaked me out because of his CF. On top of the pink eye he also had " some type of bacterial infection " because his white count was so high. For a week he ran a fever of over 100 almost always at 104 after having tylenol or motrin. And now 2 weeks later the eye is finally better but the cough has started and it sounds awful but we can't get anything to cough up. He goes for a check up at his new CF clinic tuesday and I am very nervous about it. Is it possible the he could have the pseudomonas in his lungs too? Christal mom of Tristan 6 ncf, Zack 2pwcf, and Ki'a 8 months ncf. ps. is it normal for a new clinic to retest a child. Zack had already had 2 sweat test and the gene work up and now his new dr. is going to give him a 3rd sweat test?
