FSH & Gastric bypass

Hello,

My name is and I am 34 years old. I am in the process of trying to get

bypass surgery done. I have had the pretesting done, however, I suffer from FSH

Muscular dystrophy and was told by my nuerologist that there could be

complications due to have a muscular disease. I have tried diets and not been

successful. I am now just over 300lbs. The heaviest I have ever been. Has anyone

with Muscular dystrophy ever had this surgery performed? If the decision is left

up to me I will go forward with the surgery. I would appreciate hearing from

anyone that has had this done with MD. Thanks!

Hi ,

I don't have MS but I saw a couple similarities between you and I. I

am 34 and was 300 pounds at my max weight prior to surgery. I was

relatively healthy (asthma, sore knees and feet, stomach probs)

before surgery and pretty much sailed through. Your predicament is

something I can't imagine but I wish you the best of luck...this

surgery is such a life changer. I hope if you can safely have it

that it works out for you.
