Guest guest
I know this is gonna sound stupid, but has anyone else suffered from their tailbone hurting after surgery? I'm 7 wks out and lost 31pds so far. Ever since I came back to work it has hurt like I've fallen and bruised it and I haven't. I was told that rapid weight would cause that. Has anyone else heard of that? Phyllis in Ala. 280/
Guest guest
Phyllis, That's because you have one now! Before it was covered with padding and you didn't have to worry about it...now it's not and it pokes out more. Believe me, we all have this! It's just because you didn't know it was there before, you'll get used to it. T. Guest guest
Yes, Phyllis in Alabama, in Alabama is sitting on an inflateable donut ring as we speak. My doctor said that I had arthritis is my spine and that I could try an epedural injection or I could try the donut. The donut does help. I have medical device kind and I have on that is just a child's swim ring. It cost a dollar and the medical on cost $10.00 and the swin ring works just as well. I have on in my chair in the living room and one in my desk chair. It works best if you don't blow them us tight. Hope this helps. A. B. Guest guest
Phyllis, I was laughing reading your message. It's not stupid!! The other day I was hurting soooo bad after sitting through several meetings at work. I wondered if it was from the weight loss but thought to myself that skinny people don't have their butt's hurt from sitting so thought it must be from something else. After seeing some of the other responses though guess it is from the loss. Thanks for asking. Guest guest
I went to sit on my bed the other night and my tailbone felt and still does feel very sore. I thought this was just me and because I just gave birth 3 weeks ago. I guess I was wrong and this is a common issue. I had Lap surgery 5/17/04 and to date have lost 126lbs of that 5 1/2 were baby. Well it's comforting to see that I'm not the only one with this issue. I wonder why it is that the tailbone hurts so much. I do alot of sitting at work and don't look forward to returning with this pain. California Lap 5/17/04 326/200/145(goal)
Guest guest
Get yourself an inflatiable donut. I got my at Walmart dnd I also bought a child's swim ring and it works just as well as real thing. Only particially inflate it. I personally find it is more comfortable if it is under inflated. A. B. Guest guest
, yes I meant 2003..lol my bad. Tailbone still hurting, wonder why this is. You'd think with the loss of the extra weight it would be happy and not want to be giving us all a hard time. Oh well, the little price we pay. I could deal with the discomfort it sure beats the extra weight that I don't have on me any more. Lap 5/03/03 326/200/145(goal)
