Guest guest
Hi All... I am just starting this whole process, but I am very excited about the whole thing. I spoke with my Internal Medicine doctor at my last regular appointment and told him of my interest i having this surgery done. He was very supportive of it and told me that he would do whatever was neccessary to help me along the way. I called yesterday to the doctor of my choice and have an appointment for March 29th. The office person I spoke with told me that my insurance company, First Health, pays for the surgery VERY WELL. I am very excited about that. My problems begin with my employer, who now says that in order to be paid while out on leave for any surgery, other than in emergent situations, we have to have a 2nd opinion from our Employee Health Physician. Hopefully this will not be much of a problem, then I have to schedule around everyones vacations.... Wish me luck.... I am hoping for a relatively easy transition thru the whole process.
