Reconstructive Surgery after WLS

Hi Everyone!!

Let me preface this with a great big thank you to all of you who post

to the site which i read religiously!!!! You have been so helpful to

a wall flower like me. I had open bypass 14 months ago and have lost

254 #'s FOREVER!!! I am feeling great and love my noew life. I am

planning a abdominalplasty in September, but am also considering a

theigh lift.

The problem lies there. My insurance (Aetna ) will not cover this

as cosmetic. It is so much more than that. My hips and calves hurt

from the extra skin flapping when I walk. It impedes my exercise

routine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could appeal this

denial ? I haven't gone to other docs because I thought that the

pics would show enough medical necessity, but I guess I was wrong.

Any info you guys can give is great.
