Guest guest
I was wondering, has anyone in the group got Blue Cross to pay for their surgery? I was turned down because the procedure is excluded from my coverage, however I was told to have my Doctor call them directly. Has anyone else tried this, or am I just out of luck? My Doctor said he'd write or call them for me if it was nessessary. I read an article that advised me to have my attorney send them a letter if they still refuse to pay after talking to my Doctor. I don't want to screw this up, so if anyone has any personal experience dealing with BCBS Insurance, please let me know. Thanks.

Guest guest
Hi there, I had surgery on 2-10-04 and it was covered by Blue Cross/ Blue Shield. It was approved last year and then we changed carriers, but still with BCBS and it was approved again in January. 2-10-04 404pre-op/358surg/334/160? -- Blue Cross Insurance? Guest guest
Kenny, The procedure had to be deemed medically necessary. It's not normally covered. Hope that helps. Guest guest
kenny, have your docs write letters of medical necessity. (there's a sample in the group's files). best of luck & keep posting. lori h. > Hi, was the procedure excluded from your policy? My policy > actually said it was not included in my coverage.
