Guest guest
Hello everyone, So my surgery was scheduled for Friday March 26th and now the doctor's office is telling me that AETNA is denying me surgery because I haven't been on a doctor supervised diet for 6 months in the past year. I don't understand how they can say that. I'm always on a diet. I had all of my blood work done and all of the pre-op testing. My blood test results came back and am amazingly healthy for someone that's 5'4 and 331 pounds. I am also currently on COBRA and it runs out the end of may. Things don't look good. But I guess I will find out Monday when all the paperwork goes to the insurance company. I'm feeling a little down because I was soooo excited. I guess I have to keep positive and hope for the best. Thanks, Laurie

Guest guest
I am currently awaiting insurance approval myself. I have 3 medical necessity letters (one from my hip surgeon, one from my gyno, and one from my gastric surgeon). I do not have one from a PCP because when I am sick I usually just go to our local One Medical Clinic which is like a Primacare or something like that. Has anyone been approved on this list been approved by going to a place or places like this for regular sickness?
