Guest guest
Hi, I am trying to get pregnant while on SCD. It has just been brought to my attention that a genetic predispositon to blood clotting could be the reason I have been experiencing early miscarriages, not the SCD. Prior to being on SCD I became pregnant with my daughter after a miscarriage. 2 months prior to concieving I did take a baby aspirin a day. I would like to go this route again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Val SCD 6 months 4000 mg asacol mom and wife
Guest guest
I think you would have to have this compounded. I would imagine a good compounding pharmacy could do this easily. It may not be as inexpensive as aspirin, but for a healthy baby.. well worth it. PJ > > Hi, > > I am trying to get pregnant while on SCD. Guest guest
Val, I think that fish oil supplements thin the blood as well and would do you more good than aspirin. Here is a link seems to have some really good info regarding natural blood thinning foods. Several of them I recognize like fish oil (omega-3) and garlic. http://www.ctds.info/natthinners.html AmeliaFrom: valeriec68 To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Mon, January 25, 2010 8:20:24 PMSubject: Legal St. ph's baby Aspirin substitute Hi, I am trying to get pregnant while on SCD. Val, if what you are needing is blood thinning (which is what the aspirin achieves), I would look at a salmon oil supplement which can do a good job of thinning the blood. It will also supply omega-3 fatty acids which are beneficial for pregnancy and many other things. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
