Guest guest
Hi to the best support group on the net. Today is my first Birthday of my new life. What a good life it is today. I am so happy. It was one year ago today at this very hour that I was undergoing Gastric Bypass surgery. The past year has been amazing, a real blessing. It have been a wonderful time in my life. I have my life back after being in a wheelchair for 7 years. I no longer use my wheelchair except in cases where there is a whole lot of walking involved. I have lost 135 lb. and something very exciting happened yesterday. My husband and I went to a restaurant and we sat in a booth for the first time in a very, very loooong time. I almost cried, it was an awesome feeling. I can't explain it except it was a feeling of complete elation. I was in a size 54/56 and today I am 22/24. Life is good and GOD is the best. He is the one that gave the doctors the knowledge and expertise to do this surgery to help us have a new life. Now we must make the most of our new tool and not abuse this wonderful gift. All you pre-op hang in there your time is coming. Make the best of it. Good Luck! A. B. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing that with us. There is a whole list of things that I want to do after I regain my life too. Can't wait until my surgery date whenever that will be. And it will be because I will fight for my very life to have it. Thanks for the encouragement to those on the other side waiting. New life!!!
