Guest guest
My friend/mentor, VitaLady had her WLS in 1995. SHe got to goal, and currently maintains about 112. She had all the fights with nutrition, etc. She found and uses whey protein shakes to control cravings, provide nutrition and satiety. Please go to VitaLady.com to see her story/pix, and read about protein shakes. I use 6/day, and they are the best tool I have to control hunger and cravings. I'm only one year out, still losing at a good rate, down 145 lbs, about 20 lbs from goal. Good luck in finding something that works for you, but I can't recommend whey protein shakes highly enough. Subject: Out of Control Hi! I am 44 years of age and I had a gastric by-pass in 1995. There wasn't a whole lot of information out then so I was not instructed on a continued life style. I was 315 lbs. and got do to 148. Today I am 190 and I can't seem to get back on track. I still can only take in a little bit of food (solids) but I frequently. I feel hungry all the time and tend to eat until I am miserable. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can gain control to lose weight without feeling deprived? Help!!!! I don't want to go back and I presently have no health insurance. Where can I obtain further information that would be helpful. Please share! Desperate in Virginia Hawkridge in Washington State.
