I have a blender, but it sounds like it would be helpful to own the processor too. Hi Sherry - I have the Cuisinart 11-cup FP from Costco. It has been the BEST investment. I make nut butter for brownies and muffins at least once a week, which really works the motor, and have had zero issues in over 2 years. I also find it really handy for making those big pots of food that call for lots of chopped veggies. :-) I can't comment on the dehydrator. I have 2 ovens, so I'm able to use the oven for making yogurt and dehydrating. Guest guest
I like the dehydrator option because you can do more than just make yogurt in it (I love making macaroons, mini pizza chips, kale chips...etc). I think I have the same kind Marilyn does - 9 tray excalibur. It's pricey but worth it (for me anyway). I currently use a KitchenAid food processor that works just fine. BF has a bigger (heavier) cuisinart food processor. That one is nice to use sometimes when I have more to process than my fp can hold. But that situation is a rarity, for the most part mine works great. Stacey > > Hi all > > I was wondering if you all could share what brand food processor has worked well for you. It that a good choice over just buying the yogurt maker? << If you can afford the Excalibur 9 tray, I highly recommend it. I have two of them. You can it for so many things other than just make yogurt. Dried meat sticks (including pepperoni), drying meringues, drying fruits and veggies, etc. etc. I've also used them for drying my swim weights, but that doesn't have anything to do with SCD. <grin> — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
