Guest guest
I didn't add in there, that I have been on very strict SCD for over a yera, and haven't gotten past level 2!!! Also, have had recent problem with flares, very frustrating. > > Has anyone heard of the '10-day colitis cure' book by Mark Kanter?? I bought 'Breaking the Vicious Cycle' book through Amazon, and they send me emails advertising other books on the same subject. > Whats with this diet?? Does anyone know? Sounds unlikely to me.... but I am tempted to get it and try..... I guess I am low, and so tempted by these things....... But then it could send me into a flare.... > > Naomi Pacey > UC 4 yrs, Pentasa 2 g, Prednisone 2 mg > 7-10 kg underweight >

I looked at it -- thought if they had a cheap Kindle copy I'd scan it and give you my opinion on it. Unfortunately, the Kindle edition is the same $20 as the hard copy. And I'm not willing to waste 20 bucks for a book review. You want blunt? I battled gut issues for 25 years. I tried every " miracle cure " there was. None of them worked. We all want it quick, because we feel lousy and we want to feel better really soon now. Healing doesn't work that way. SCD works. It takes time. But it works. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

Guest guest
I know, I am being desperate. Thanks for your words, with tears in my eyes. I am tired of it, want a quick fix. Will keep the food diary. Thanks, Naomi > >Has anyone heard of the '10-day colitis cure' book by Mark Kanter?? > > I looked at it -- thought if they had a cheap > Kindle copy I'd scan it and give you my opinion > on it. Guest guest
Really the book doesn't have stages. I could not have followed them (a lot of people do though). Have you thought of going through the book and just seeing what looks good to you? For some reason, that approach worked better than just guessing. Debbie 40 cd > I know, I am being desperate. Guest guest
I haven't read it but I went to amazon and looked at some of the pages. Honestly? It looks very similar to SCD. The recipes they showed were all SCD save for one that added Bragg's. They mentioned probiotics and anti-yeast. It looks like it might say a little something about food combining though from what little I saw it seems to be the opposite of every other food combining rule I've read. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of science behind it (at least in as much as I could read). I'm not going to recommend one way or the other especially since I haven't read it but I just thought I'd share what I saw with you.
