Guest guest
HELLO, I have wandered here while internet surfing. I have been told I have vertical maxillary excess by my orthodontist. He suggested surgery to correct it. I googled it and found this group. . My whole life, I have not had much trouble, or even knew I had a problem, other than I have always been unhappy with my long face, receeded chin and crooked upper jaw. I have had braces for 5 years and have a decent alignment. I occasionally have headaches or pain that I guess is from my JMJ joints, but who knows what it could be - don't headaches just spontaneously happen sometimes? I feel like this would be mostly a cosmetic surgery. Should I even explore jaw surgery? Any vertically challenged maxillaries out there? Your thoughts and suggestions?
