Guest guest
Since yogurt was my only intended use for a dehydrator, I got a less expensive one, the Nesco Harvest, but bought a couple of the extender trays to give the yogurt jars the needed height. It works very well, and I can now do the 24 hour yogurt that Dr.Gottschall recommends because the temp. range goes as low as 95 degrees. Now that I have it, I will explore other uses for it. Fruit rolls seem a little too concentrated sugar to me. My prior yogurt maker routinely reached temps of 120 after six hours, and although I worked with it (leaving the cover off, etc) I feel more comfortable with the dehydrator.
