Guest guest
High potassium levels (hyperkalemia) impact heart function, along with muscle and nerve. My mother just went through a period of having high potassium levels and her doctors were quite concerned. For a while she had to stop taking some of her medications (or rather, changed types on a few of them) and had to be careful with potassium-rich foods. I, on the other hand, am low in potassium so have to boost my levels almost every day…. Kim M. SCD 6 years >>>>>>>>>>>>> What does high potassium mean? My blood test back in September showed that I was above normal. My doc said not to take any supplements that have potassium in them (my multi has a tiny amount, but not enough for me to worry about it). The funny thing is, I didn't eat high potassium foods back then. Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/
