Guest guest
Hi guys! I had Lap RNY on 4-6-04 and it was a whole lot more painful then I thought it would be. I guess I didn't stop to think about the fact that they were cutting my guts up and mending them. Also, the gas that they pump you full of to do the surgery causes a bit of discomfort and if it doesn't get out can be quite painful. I ended up with gas going into my shoulder which hurt very bad for about 5 days. I ended up sleeping with a heating pad on my shoulder until the gas passed. Within a week I was out of pain. Best of luck with your surgery. I don't have any horror stories to tell. I'd do it agian in a heartbeat! I have lost 36lbs in just over 5 weeks. It's such an incredibly wonderful feeling. God Bless!
