I'd like to share the other extreme here. My surgeon's bill was under

$6,000 for the surgeon and assistant surgeon. I had jaw surgery in 1984

and the surgeon/assistant surgeon charged $7500. So barring

complications, the actual surgeon charges are relatively inexpensive.

This can happen with an impacted wisdom tooth. When things go wrong, it is

terrible physically, emotionally and financially. That is why we have

bankruptcy courts. I get so annoyed at the AMOS board. They don't allow any

postings

that may cause some " thinking " to occur. I have finally realized why grads

drift away.
