After years of deliberation, I've decided to get upper/lower surgery

to correct an underbite. I'm just starting to look for an OS and

from reading this board I came across a couple of surgeons people had

recommended in the past.

Tova, you recommended Stuart Super but then I read your posts with

the issues you were/are having. Would you still recommend him?

Behrman was also recommended but I can't find any more info on

him. Does anyone have a website for him?

Finally, I came across Weber on google. I liked what I read

on his site, particularly that he avoids wiring, has 10+ years

experience, and the fact that he pioneered a way to minimize nerve

damage. Has anyone gone to him?

I'm open to other suggesions. Basically, I'm looking for an OS with

10+ yrs experience, is a member of AAOMS and is in the NY/CT metro

area that is accessible by LIRR/Metro North.

Thanks for any suggesions.

Hiya,

I would still recommend Dr. Super, but I would also look around. He's

been doing this forever and I trust he knows what he's doing and the

people there are all very nice and helpful... I am still annoyed that I

ended up wired because of my wisdom teeth.... If you can avoid the

wire... I'd go that route.
