Yeah, this is our second lab-- Torey has the yellow 5 yr old. I have a Queensland Heller (no miss-spell there..)/Dalmation mix that is one terrified dog-- we think he has "special" needs.. that and he's low vision, low IQ, (ok, no IQ) and he is a handful.

Today, Jade got to go with us to the local Garden nursery, and we picked up a pink dogwood, a camellia, and a maple tree-- we're finally starting to get our backyard back into shape -- so 's been planting stuff all day. Jade was loving it-- all those smells, people loving her, a couple of dogs, cool areas that had a bit of dampness and shade- she just wanted to find the coolest container that was in the shade and would have gladly taken a nap there. It was funny, this place is huge, always has a year end clearance sale in Oct-- (we got all 3 for under $100) normally it would have been almost $300-- so it was so fun to score!! Everything is changing to fall colors-- so you can see what kind of fall time stuff you'll have! I loved it. I just wish they had the electric carts for those of us that have a hard time rambling throughout. Oh well, I got to come home and take a long nap.

Then my son had left his dog at our place, so Jade and Tara got to play chase Torey around the living room- kitchen loop-- and now she's crapped out in the middle of the living room floor. It was a BIG day for a puppy.

Maybe she'll sleep through the night!

Hugs,

Tracie

Well, we've just taken a big step-- we bought a chocolate lab pup last Saturday-- she's 8 wks old. She has the most incredible green eyes-- and we named her Jade.

Today my new couch came in-- so we'll be on "double" duty-- trying to keep her busy and not chewing up the furniture.

Needless to say, not only is there a new "infant" in the house-- that has us laughing at the beauty and newness of a leaf, and the point Jade did on the food moth was hillarous-- I'm actually being forced to move a bit more. Today, Jade and I took a walk two houses down and it was great!

I hope that all of us get the chance to slow down from our daily challenges of doctor visits, physical therapy, life-- yep, life in general and see the good things that are around us.

Take care and know that you are all always in my heart and thoughts,

Tracie
