You could always consider turning the Maine Coon into a Canadian lynx.  Beautiful animals (love the tufted ears), though not exactly anybody's pets! Natural habitat: Canadian Rockies and coastal mountains. In fact, there was one that wandered down onto one of the Olympic ski runs last week, in daylight. It seemed to be curious, appeared to be sniffing around, checking things out. Unusual, because they  tend to be elusive creatures. I saw the film footage on CTV's Olympic coverage; I'm not sure if NBC showed it. Oh, I like lynxes.... hence my online moniker of Marilynx. But no, the Maine Coon is a pet. A most beloved pet. Who has to be left behind in an emergency, and who ends up being reunited with her in a most complicated set of maneuvers. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
