Guest guest
Amen. And there are just too many bean counters running Big Pharma, I fear. My sister had a heart attack some years ago. It was caused by a drug. That they were giving her for high blood pressure, to avoid things like heart attacks. Causing heart attacks was a known side-effect! And they wonder why we don't trust them. http://www.starbulletin.com/news/nyt/20100223_A_face-off_on_the_safety_of_a_drug_for_diabetes.html In case anyone wonders why I tend not to trust Big Pharma. I don't deny that there are many useful drugs. BUt I don't trust the bean counters.
Guest guest
I find it more appropriate the acronym read Big pHARMa, with emphasis on harm. Big pHARMa does not have your good health in mind when they fast track their potentially damaging wonder drugs to market. Drug research in this country used to be done by university medical schools and research facilities. We need to get back to that way of drug research. The Drug Industry is only interested in profit and their greed is killing vulnerable people. I would say that if the drug side effects are worse than the symptoms it’s treating, well… Carol From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of My-Stitches Amen.
