Hi Mel,

How is everything going getting ready? How are you feeling? Wow, you

are supposed to be in for 3-4 days? Yea, I wasn't in even 24 hours.

Either way is good and bad I suppose. More time there gives you

longer to adjust and adapt.... and it's nice having the IV line where

they can administer meds to you that way than somehow having to do it

yourself with syringes and whatnot. I miss the IV instant

gratification! But, it's also nice to get home- be home and shower

and have all those comforts.... I hope you don't vomit at all! I've

read a lot of stories where people didnt vomit at all, or only once

or twice. I was definitely an exception I think... Thank you for your

concern- I did make it through ok even though that first night was

really rough. It has been up and down since then, but for other

reasons.... I think this whole process has its moments when it's

really hard to cope with it. Mostly, I've been doing pretty well. I'm

just sick of the swelling. I feel like someone hooked up their air

pump to my face and won't stop pumping. I don't actually look that

bad, but I feel beyond over-inflated! The other hardest thing has

been with the meds... getting them coordinated and they are totally

not cutting it. I will be out by monday of one of them and think I

will ask for some changes when my mom calls in for the refill. That,

honestly, has been bad at times. Otherwise, I'm doing ok. I will keep

you posted, definitely. Let me know how it goes as you get ready and

ask if you have any questions beforehand.... I went to the trouble to

get my room all ready and comfortable beforehand and have been really

happy that I bothered... I knew coming home I wasn't going to feel

like doing anything, so try to anticipate what you can. Keep in
