Something my acupuncturist told me about for colds is this: ginger

tea. You slice fresh ginger root, oh, maybe an inch piece. Take six

green onions, cut them up. Put both in a pan and cover with water,

and simmer gently 15 minutes or so. Throw out the vegetation and

drink the tea. The ginger is always good and something about the

fresh green onions has healing power. Not that big onions aren't

healthy but this is better for a cold. It also tastes good

especially with a bit of honey.
