Guest guest
Somehow my wires pulled some of my teeth apart (I guess that's extra work for my ortho) but I am able to fit a small straw through the holes and it makes drinking things much easier. I can't wait until they unwire my bottom jaw from my top, (even though they're leaving the splint in to guide my bite). I wonder if I'll be able to open my mouth enough to fit a spoon...I'm dreaming about those mashed potatoes. Jo I n a message dated 3/11/2005 11:45:32 P.M. Well looking at me I could becuase I'm thin as a rail: not sexy but skeletal. Well, today I managed to start with a straw. I don't know if I like it or not. Feels more natural than a syringe but seems worse for my teeth. And seems to take longer. I don't know. Nothing seems " natural " in all of this. Although I am getting unusually use to this splint. New worries: getting it out.I have passed the stage of hunger. No more restless nights planning what and where I'm going to eat. I sleep well now and have become uninterested in food. A coworker brought over a banana pudding today. I put a big blob in the blender with whipping cream and milk and drank it up! It was delicious. My face seems to be getting some feeling back. My chin has been cold on the left side today. It feels like theres drool on it and I check every so many minutes but nothings there. Other than that still numb from eyelids down. I wonder if I will be numb after the splint comes out? Surely not I hope.
