Hi ya'all,

I had to jump in, and hope I replied correctly and didn't include the entire

bunch of messages here.

I am about 26 pounds from goal at 176, and am wearing dresses from size 12 to

18, pants (I only buy men's jeans and Docker styles) from 34 to 38, and tops

from small to all. Yup, it is a pain! I don't usually shop labels-but I like

Britannia jeans a lot. I buy Nordstrom's clothes at the second hand stores in

town, and because I buy " previously loved " clothes-I spend time shopping and

trying things on. For me, it is therapy. The time I spend searching for the

right clothes is time I don't spend focusing on food!!

Likes...well, if it has a waist in it, I want it. If it shows off my hard work,

hand it over. If it makes my shoulders look wider, my bust look bigger, and my

hips look smaller in comparison----I will fight for it! Give me red, purple,

florals, and a bit " loud " after eons of wearing black, brown and navy! I am

still conservative about what I wear on my bottom half, because I am bottom

heavy-but fairly well proportioned. Also, I dress to conceal the wrinkles and

jiggles of the upper arms and thighs. It helps that my standards of dress are

modest anyway, and I don't wear sleeveless dresses or above the knee shorts

(below the knee either-I have cows, not calves!). But...the right kind of

sleeve with the right fit really improves the look.

Enough here folks. Clothing sizes are inconsistent. I think they change the

standards from year to year too. A size 12 today is much larger than a 12 of 25

years ago! As the " average woman " grows larger, the industry tries to keep us

happy by telling us we are wearing smaller sizes, but they just cut them bigger.

My two cents. Sorry I get windy.
