Guest guest
, When I first started with the Phlebotimist, she was giving me one shot. I did one on one cheek and the next week, the opposite. Then she suggested I skip a week and get 2 at a time. The first 2 shots really didn't bother me all that much...The two I got together were awful. I won't get another until the 9th. My iron readings have barely changed. She told me it takes awhile. She said some people are slow to start and then when it begins to move up, it does so a little more quickly. All I know is I'm not getting 2 shots at the same time again. My butt was sore for 5 days. And all weekend. I felt awful. Are you taking pills too? I showed her the info Vitalady sent me on Iron and she gave me a pprescription for Niferex. Have you taken that? Does it make you sick? Did it constipate you? nancy pugliese wrote: Cindy......I just had my 6th shot on this past Monday. I am kinda shocked that they gave you two at a time. I am having a hard time handleing one every 10 days! We started out every three days but I was getting a wicked sore butt and a headache!! My surgeons office said no sooner than one every three days and that would be kinda close. My doc said that they are sooo slow working that there is no rush to get them in. I am now about 6 weeks into them and he said today that my numbers are " ok " but that my iron is still low. HTH, P Iron Shots Hi, I'm wondering what others have experinced while taking iron shots. I just had 2 on Friday. This is the first time I've gotten 2 at one time and I am not feeling well. I'm experiencing muscle soreness all over and my stomcach is upset. The shots Friday were my 3rd and 4th. My blood counts have not improved yet. Is there anyone out there who can share their experience with me? How long did it take before you started improving, etc.? Thanks, Cindy
