Irene - what did you have done? I'm looking at maxillary only (thus far) and my

OS said it may or may not stop my resounding click. Let me tell you, few things

are more embarrassing than that First Kiss, and having to immediately explain

why his head reverberated! Definitely kills the moment... not that I'm going to

have to worry much about that for the next year or so. I don't think I would

want to date me with this full metal jacket!

Hi Kate,

I had upper and lower. Upper just for cosmetic reasons though, all my

problems could have been fixed with lower. TMJ thing was a big one

for me. Right now my very obvious clicking is gone. My OS said

surgery helps about 80% of patients with TMJ issues, about 10% have no

improvement, and the rest get worse. Hopefully both of us are in the

80% :).
