Rice is OK to eat of you are on solid diet. It has already expanded

when it cooked in water, so remember this is an old wives tale

[plus, we don't drink when we are eating as a rule, so how could it

expand?]. I rarely eat a bit of rice, because, remember protein

first! I'd rather have vegetables and fruit secondarily, so rice I

rarely have room for... but if you want a couple of nibbles of rice,

go for it.

Popcorn it the same, I have no problem eating it either. I use

popcorn when I get head hunger...which is rare. I've still not

experienced stomach hunger after 13 months, so I don't need popcorn

often, but when that munching urge takes over, popcorn is a good

choice. And, popcorn actually decreases in size when it is chewed,

so this is the reason you can seemingly eat so much of it...remember

how small the cournel was before it was popped, well it shrinks not

quite as small, but substancially smaller than the popped size.
